An Ephemeral Eye

With all of those eyes on me, I’m on the verge of being swallowed. Completely vulnerable, completely exposed, my voice and my words echo into the abyss, with thousands of screaming faces…
Each taking a small piece of me.

“On feet that inherited stains of chicken shit in overgrown grass, in front of a thatched roof house made of stones that will outlast my name.  A long line of Marys and Johns that disolved into the melting pot along the East River, whose dedication to amber liquors with nose-stinging vapors raised a silent tribe of O’Bedients.”
